Things to Do On A Rainy Day
Rainy days happen often and when they do it's easy to find yourself bored - and I mean like really bored. This is why I have taken the liberty to brainstorm nine things that you can do on a rainy day, so the next time it happens, you're prepared.
READ A BOOK
There is honestly nothing better to do on a rainy day than curling up in a cosy blanket with a good book. Plus you could even make yourself a mug of hot cocoa. Take a look at my weekly reads post for book inspiration .
BUBBLE BATH
I have gotten so many bath products over Christmas and I cannot wait to use them. Go full out and pamper yourself - you deserve it. Also I would definitely recommend body butter; it makes your body feel like a temple.
BINGE WATCH
If you're anything like me you're married to your TV. Spend this rainy day catching up on any episodes you've missed. Looking for a binge watch worthy show? Check back next week for a list of my favourite shows to bingewatch.
ORGANISATION
Now is the time to do those jobs that you have been putting of for the past week, month or even year. Get it over and done with so you can reward yourself with some chocolate.
LEARN TO KNIT
Slightly random but it's honestly worth it and there's lots of tutorials online. I feel so accomplished after finishing a knitting project - even if it's just a scarf. Knitting is also really easy to do as you're just repeating the same thing over and over again.
VISIT A MUSEUM
Just because it's raining doesn't mean you can't go out. Despite how boring it sounds some exhibitions are actually really interesting. But if museums aren't your thing you could also try going to an art gallery (I'm a big fan of this option too!)
BAKING
First of all baking is so relaxing and fills your apartment with a wonderful smell (well unless you burn it) and second of all you get to eat anything you bake afterwards. Chocolate cupcakes are an awesome choice by the way.
CREATE A NEW PLAYLIST
Music is one of the best things to exist... ever. It can convey so many emotions and mean so many things to so many different people. You could have an upbeat funky playlist, a slow classical one, or maybe one with songs that remind you of rubber ducks - your options are limitless.
OR you could just grab your coat and go dancing in the rain.
What do you like to do a rainy day? What's your favourite thing to bake? Can you knit?
